God of Wealth (财神到) on 918Kiss: a 9-line festive slot

God of Wealth is the English tile name. On the reels the banner reads 财神到, "the God of Wealth arrives", the greeting you hear all over Chinese New Year. Everything on screen follows that theme: red lanterns and temple eaves on both sides, gold trim around the reels, and a blue sky above.

The symbols

The picture symbols are all festive figures and objects:

• Cai Shen himself, red hat and black beard, smiling
• an elder in a blue-and-gold hat, with a white beard
• a girl in pink holding a peach
• a boy holding a red 喜 card
• a red festival drum
• a string of firecrackers
• a green jade pendant
• a bronze 乾隆通寶 coin

Then there are the 發 (fa, "prosper") tiles in two styles: gold on red, and silver on blue. In the first screenshot two red ones sit side by side on reels 4 and 5.

Lines and bet

There are nine lines, numbered on both sides of the reels, and the LINE box reads 9. Stake is set with LINES BET and the plus and minus buttons beside it. TOTAL BET is simply line count times lines bet: 90 at a lines bet of 10, 9 at a lines bet of 1.

The screenshots show this nicely. At total bet 9, one spin lands a WIN of 22, with several cells lit up: a gold 發, two blue 發 tiles, two jade pendants and a drum. The balance then reads 4119. In the last shot it reads 4110.

Meters above the reels
