Mega888: the lobby, the fish tables and how your credit moves

Mega888 arrived after 918Kiss and borrowed a lot from it: the landscape phone layout, the neon city skyline behind the tiles, the idea of a lobby you scroll sideways with your thumb. It is its own platform, though, with its own IDs, and it built a following mostly on the strength of its fish-shooting rooms.

Reading the Mega888 lobby

The screenshot above is the Hot Game tab. Across the top you get three things: your balance on the left (a gold coin icon and 0.00 on a fresh ID), the Mega888 logo in the middle, and your username with two small buttons on the right for settings and logging out.

A blue "Game Directory" tab runs down the left edge. Tap it to jump between categories instead of scrolling through every tile.

Along the bottom are MENU, HISTORY and SUGGESTION. History is the one worth knowing about: it lists your recent rounds, and it is the first place to look if a balance ever seems off.

In the bottom right corner sits a gold "Special Bonus" panel with a long red counter. That is a shared jackpot display. It is big and flashy on purpose.

What kinds of games are in there

Fish shooting, the 10000 Times rooms

Three of the top-row tiles carry a "10000 Times" banner: Ocean King, Da Sheng Nao Hai and Li Kui Pi Yu. These are high-multiplier fish rooms, where the biggest targets can pay a very large multiple of your bullet. Very large multiples also mean long dry spells in between.

Inside a fish game such as Ocean King Ultimate, the table looks like the screenshot above. Four cannon stations, one per player seat, each with a bet level in the middle (100, 800, 1000 on this table) and minus and plus buttons either side. Your credit sits in the coloured bar next to your cannon.

On the right are three buttons: LOCK fixes your aim on one fish, SWITCH changes target, and AUTO keeps firing without you tapping. AUTO is the one to be careful with. At a high bet level it can burn through a top-up in a few minutes while you are not really watching.

Slots with jackpot counters

The second row shows Motorbike, Robin Hood Shifting Riches, Alice and African Wildlife. Three of them carry a small figure under the tile (3941.00, 10982.08, 11616.98 in this capture), which is that game's jackpot pool at the time. Robin Hood and Alice follow the look of well-known online slots, and the gameplay appears to follow the familiar 5-reel pattern.

Card games

Poker Three, with its "Hot" flame badge, is a card game rather than a slot. Mega888 mixes a handful of these in with the slots and fish rooms.

How the Mega888 game ID and credit work

You cannot sign up inside the app. The login screen asks for a username and password, and those come from an agent.

The usual flow:

• You ask an agent for a Mega888 ID and receive a username and password.
• You pay the agent, and they load that value as credit onto your ID. The coin balance at the top left updates.
• You play. Credit goes down with every spin or bullet and up with every win.
• When you want out, you request a withdrawal ("cuci"). The agent deducts the credit and pays you.

The app is only the scoreboard. Any money going in or out passes through the agent, which makes choosing that agent the most important decision of the lot. If you want to try it, you can get a Mega888 game ID from the provider this site works with.

Checks before your first top-up

• Log in with the new ID before you pay. You should see 0.00 in the balance box and your username on the right.
• Ask the agent, before paying, how withdrawals are handled and whether any promotion you accept comes with a turnover requirement. Old "RM30 minimum top-up" figures you may see quoted around the web are from 2018.
• Open History after your first session and make sure the rounds listed match what you remember playing.
• Take a screenshot of the balance before you request a cuci.
• Use one agent per ID. Passing an ID between people or agents is how disputes start.

Keeping it small

Fish rooms feel like a skill game because you aim and fire. The payouts are still set by the game, not by your aim. Set a fixed amount per session, turn AUTO off, keep the bet level low, and walk away when that amount is gone.
